Special Thanks
July 7, 2010 - Special thanks go out to Jason Lewis, who just did "Ride the Rockies" an annual bike tour through Colorado.This year the trek was 533 miles from Grand Junction toTelluride and finishing in Salida. Over the course of the event Jason collected money for the Jonesy Trust, matching funds collected dollar for dollar personally. Below are Jason's comments:
I am glad to say that through the generosity of friends, family and colleagues, we were able to raise a total of $15,000 for Michael and his family. Even though I have never met him, knowing that he is a friend of David Lausa's and a rugger is all I need to know to help.On the ride, there were moments that I was pretty wiped but thinking of Michael and how he would give anything to feel the exhaustion I felt was all I needed to keep going.I wish him and his family the best and thank them for letting me and my friends contribute to his efforts.
